The myJobCaddy model was designed by accountants from New Zealand and South Africa with a combined work experience of thirty years (- twenty of which were in a mixture of contract and permanent roles in the UK). The model offers a number of benefits to job-hunters and is available to Chartered Accountants, CIMA-qualified (or part thereof) workers, and those with experience in accounting and finance.

In essence myJobCaddy is a unique, Internet-based recruitment solution that makes job-hunting easy and hassle-free. Instead of the usual time-consuming process introducing yourself to multiple agencies, searching through the paper, complying with referencing obligations when placed, etc simply register with us online and use our network of recruitment agencies (and selected companies) to get exposure to a variety of roles no matter what country you’re seeking work in.

How myJobCaddy works in 6 easy steps:

  1. Complete our registration process once and in the comfort of your own home. Through six easy steps we collect all the information a recruitment agency gathers in the initial interview: 1) Personal Details; 2) Employment Details; 3) CV & Skills; 4) Qualifications; 5) Previous Employment; and 6) Identity Check.

    You’ll need to complete Steps 1, 2 and 3 before we can forward your details to our network of agencies. As you complete each page your details will automatically be saved allowing you to come back and complete the process at a later time. The whole process (Steps 1-6) will take approximately 45 minutes.

    At the end you can view your details on your myJobCaddy Summary Page; this page also has a link into myMessages page which acts as a log of all your communication with the myJobCaddy team.

  2. You’ll receive a welcome email once you’ve completed registration. If you’re actively looking for work (i.e. loading your job-hunting status is Active) myJobCaddy ensures you’re entitled to work in the country you are requesting, reviews your CV (where requested) and carries out a basic reference check. Assuming everything's OK we'll forward your name, visa status, CV and job preferences to our network of agencies the next working day.

    Due to the on-demand nature of contracts, prospective employers are only interested if you're available now or very soon, so - if you're looking for contracting work - we'll send your details to our network of agencies three weeks before your available date.

  3. Once your details have been received by our network of agencies, we continue to forward these to them daily. Rest assured that while your job-hunting status is Active our network of agencies will be actively looking for roles on your behalf. We will also maintain regular contact with you via phone or email or the personalised chat function on your myJobCaddy Summary Page.

  4. When one of the agencies wants to put you forward for a role we provide them with your contact details. It’s up to each agency if they want to meet you face-to-face or simply contact you to check if you want your details put forward for that role.

  5. When you accept a role we forward details required for referencing (provided in steps 4, 5 and 6) to the agency and let you know by email that this has been initiated. Once you’ve started in your new job, remember to switch your status to Inactive on your myJobCaddy Summary Page.

  6. Whenever you are next seeking work - whether your contract is coming to an end, you’re after a permanent role, you’re moving abroad or coming back from a long holiday - simply let us know you’re job-hunting once more by switching your status back to Active. We’ll look forward to seeing you back at myJobCaddy and helping you find your next role.
