Business Accountant
Responsibilities
- Cash flow forecasting for and financing of the investments in the principal investment portfolios
- Financial accounting (in accordance with all relevant International Financial Reporting Standards) from journal preparation through to General Ledger reconciliation
- Reconciliation of individual partnership accounts and cash statements to individual general ledger accounts
- Integrity of data of all relevant general ledgers
- Data collection, preparation, collation and analysis for the half yearly Group Investment Review.
- Preparation and analysis of management accounts for UK Private equity business group and the Global Principal Investment business
- Preparation of annual operating plan and profit forecasts for the private equity and principal investment portfolios
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the role
The successful candidate should be ACA qualified or equivalent and should have significant, relevant experience in the specified areas
Business Analyst
Responsibilities
- Define business requirements
- Define functional requirements
- Producing test plans
- Producing a test pack
- Lead User testing of finance aspects of test phase
- Perform test execution
- Initiation and management of system defects
- Risk and Issue Management Escalation to Project Manager
- Assisting with project controls and communications. E.g: Regular updates and escalation of key issues and risks to the project manager. Management of project risks and issues to conclusion as agreed with project manager.
- Working with business and IT to understand and explain data discrepancies between the current and future systems.
- Working with business and IT to agree and prioritise required IT changes
The successful candidate be ACA qualified or equivalent and should have significant, relevant experience in the specified areas.
Senior Analyst
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced upstream analyst with in the oil and gas sector.
Initially for the first three months you would be based in Germany Mon – Fri and then back to London.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, have excellent knowledge German/Canadian/US-GAAP as well as international tax law, have advanced SAP and solid financial analysis skills with industry experience.

Regulatory Reporting Analyst
My client is a World leading investment bank looking to hire a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Understand the existing processes, identify issues and develop solutions that improve efficiency and report quality.
- Deliver improvements to the Basel II daily, monthly and quarterly reporting processes
- Production of bi-annual consolidated BSD3 returns involving coordination of approximately 200 legal entities, including detailed variance analysis of risk weighted assets
- Preparation of US Federal consolidated capital returns
- Ensured BSD3 capital returns were produced in accordance with applicable regulations
- Point of contact for group entities for queries on the production of the BSD3 involving interpretation of rules and providing advice
- Liaised and point of contact for capital management team, dealing with queries regarding capital adequacy returns and variance analysis on risk weighted assets
- Identification and implementation of information and process improvements
- Ensured the correct capital reporting of new products
- Assisted Basel 2 conversion team in the design and implementation of reconciliations between BSD3 and BSD4 reporting
